Land Information New Zealand Records
We conduct searches of the Land Information New Zealand records and provide copies of:- Current Record of Title - official real-time title showing any current interests with diagram/deposited plan
- Historical Record of Title - official real-time current and historical data
- Document/Interest - as registered on the title e.g. lease, caveat, easement, covenant
- Plan - Deposited, Unit, Flat or Spatial plan
- Apartment Records - Body Corporate rule changes; title; plan; easements
- Nominal Search - Personal name/company searched to establish any current ownership
- Prior Ownership Search - Personal name/company searched to establish any past ownership
- Block Land Search - Bulk lots, mass land or mapped areas
Court Searches
On your behalf, we facilitate due diligence searches of court records to establish if there are any civil nationwide proceedings at the High, Supreme, Appeal, District, Employment (including Employment Relations Authority) and Environment Courts under specified company or personal names. A quality assured written report is provided.

You deal with one of the longest running search agencies in NZ, established in 1980. We provide copies of the official real-time Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) documents with no contracts needed. Why is it so important to search the Record of Title and registered interests?
In recent times, it has become extremely important to conduct your due diligence when buying, selling or investing in real estate. This is so you know exactly who owns the property, if there are any covenants, easements, caveats or other restrictions on the title and to confirm the correct legal description, i.e. lot and DP number and the area. Note, Eastbourne Search cannot provide a legal interpretation of the title or interest docuements. A solicitor or lawyer is required for this.
How do I use your service?
Our preferred method of contact is email since we require all search requests to be in writing to ensure there are no errors. Please emails us at search@eastbournesearch.co.nz.
What is the turnaround time?
Usually within the hour or sooner if your request is urgent. Results will be emailed to you.
Fees?
Our fees are very competitive. Special fees for multiple branch clients. POA. As you are not tied into a contract, there is no minimal monthly charge and no upfront or hidden costs. Complex, lengthy searches will incur a time and attendance fee which will be discussed on receipt of the request or following a preliminary search. Invoices/Statements are generated monthly. Payment can be made via direct bank deposit or by credit card.
